Overview

Candy Colored Home is a lifestyle brand celebrating colorful interiors, vintage finds, DIY projects, and eclectic home styling. Rather than developing a completely new visual direction, I created a brand identity that grew naturally from the client’s existing aesthetic. By studying the colors, textures, and visual themes found throughout her photography and social media presence, I developed a logo, coordinated color system, and website refinements that felt authentic to the brand while creating a more polished and cohesive digital experience for an audience of more than 240,000 Instagram followers.

Logo & Color Development

Branding

Instead of imposing a new visual identity, the brand system was built by extracting colors and visual cues directly from the client’s photography and interior styling. The resulting logo and palette reflected the personality of the brand while creating a cohesive identity that translated naturally across the website and digital communications.

Color matching

Color Matching

The color palette was developed by sampling prominent hues from the client’s existing photography and interior design style. This process ensured the visual identity felt authentic to the brand while improving consistency throughout the website and supporting future marketing materials.

Style Match

Style Matching

The website refinements were designed to complement the client’s established aesthetic rather than compete with it. By aligning the interface, color system, and branding with imagery already familiar to her audience, the refreshed design created a more cohesive experience while preserving the personality that attracted her growing social media following.

Results

Little Food Explorers evolved from a single curriculum into a scalable statewide education initiative used across classrooms, childcare centers, and family engagement programs throughout Maryland. The flexible brand system supported new educational content, bilingual communications, promotional campaigns, and digital resources while maintaining a consistent visual identity across every touchpoint.
