Classic candies for a new generation and new takes on old favorites.
Early in my career, I was lucky to work with Goetze’s and Necco on campaigns around not only their classic candies, but also new offerings. Who doesn’t like caramel creams, or have fond memories of sweetheart candies on Valentine’s Day? Smoothies may no longer be a “new trend,” and Splenda has fallen out of favor, but it’s fun to show some ads I created for these well-known brands way back when.
Goetze’s
Goetze’s needed some print ads for candy expo shows (see right for sample), as well as online ads and material for an “Average Kid” campaign (sample pages below).





Necco
Necco, makers of the classic wafers and Sweetheart candies, created new wafers flavored like smoothies, and needed print ads for their candy expo booth. I designed these ads to mimic a smoothie drink, giving a fun feel to the ad. They additionally tried a take on their Valentine’s Day Sweethearts to create a winter version, Sweethearts Holiday Gum, which I created an ad for.
